I have used this product for several months and found that it works as well as or better than any other product I have tried. It is less expensive than any other products I've used for rosacea. It has the consistency of aloe vera gel, so a little goes a long way and it can be kind of difficult to rinse off. It has never dried out or irritated my skin. I have eczema and I tried this product because the cream is excellent for my skin when I break out in hives. Because the brand is known for making products for those with particularly sensitive skin I decided to try this product when I found out my favorite face scrub was discontinued by AVON. I bought this product for its cleansing properties and not for redness relief (I have dark skin). The product did not agree with my face at all. It burned my cheeks and left them rough and dry. If you are a person who is sensitive to lotions or cleansers with harsh chemicals or perfumes like me avoid this product.

This product made my skin really dry. After I use it I can see dry patches on my cheeks and forehead and it appears that my skin is peeling. It also did not reduce redness. First of all, this product reeks. I tried using it by itself and the smell is really disgusting. I ended up using Johnson's Softlotion 24-Hour Moisturizer, 14-Ounce Pump Bottles (Pack of 4) to mask the smell.



I needed something for occasional dry hands and this didn't do much for me. It feels strange too. The product is very greasy: you can still see the grease after working it into your skin but it feels dry yet sticky. Its just a terrible feeling (the Johnson's softlotion helps with that though).



I gave this two stars become the pump is easy to use and isn't too small/narrow. I would recommend Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy Intensive Repair Hand Creme Plus, 2.7 Ounces (Pack of 4) for dry hands, it is expensive but works well and doesn't smell (though I often use Johnson's softlotion for a good smell after the eucerin).

I tried to use this in larger quantities for an exfoliating routine. I put an excessive amount on, wait about 10-20 min and exfoliate using exfoliating gloves. I do this for my feet and hands sometimes and this winter being especially harsh decided it was time. It didn't do much. It didn't even penetrate my heels enough to help slough away any dead skin. I'm sure it's better in small doses as a hand cream or body cream but if you want something heavy duty in heavy doses for exfoliating rituals you may want to look elsewhere. Too much will just makes you feel dirty, sticky and look and feel greasy. I am trying Olay body quench for this routine in hopes I have better luck. Just waiting for that to ship. I have been dealing with red, irritated skin on my neck for approximately 2 years. The problem had gotten so bad that I had to cut tags out of clothes, stop wearing collars that touched my neck, no necklaces, etc. Different doctors gave different diagnoses - rosacea, dermatitis, etc. Prescription meds did not help. Then I tried this product along with the redness relief soothing cleanser. What an amazing difference! The cleanser is a gel that began to soothe my skin the moment I applied it. I followed up with this night cream - it is a lotion, but clearly has a gel base. It felt wonderful just to smooth it on! Within 1 day, my bumpy, red skin felt completly healed - the bumps were gone, and my skin no longer felt irritated! In fact, my skin felt young again! When I say this product is life-changing I mean it - the nagging stress of having constantly irritated, itchy skin is gone. I am able to wear jewelry again, etc. I do not expect this product to help everyone - but if your problem is the same as mine, you might find it very beneficial. One other note - I orignially tried the CereVe product line as recommended by a dermatologist. While CeraVE is excellent, it did not help me. So if other products are not working for you, perhaps this one will.

I have been diagnosed with mild to moderate facial eczema. While this product is geared towards Rosacea patients, I decided to try it because I have a substantial redness, dryness and flaking on my face. I usually steer clear of products of this type, with all those weird chemicals as ingredients, but the natural beauty and health products have done nothing for my face so I decided to give this a shot.



After only one weeks use, applied after cleansing and before bed, I wake up with way less facial redness. Mind you, this is after only 1 week. Eucerin asks you give this product 1 month of use before you see results. Needless to say I'm happy, in fact I will be trying out the rest of the Eucerin Redness Relief line of products to see if I can achieve a sense of "normalcy" to my skin.



My only complaint, oddly enough, it does burn my skin when I apply it, not a lot, but enough that makes it quite uncomfortable. I would suggest giving your skin a rest, say a few minutes, after you cleanse, allowing your pores to close, before you apply.



All in all, it's definitely worth giving a shot if you're experiencing facial redness. You might be surprised.

I have chronic dermatitis/eczema issues, notably on my cheeks and bridge of nose. I keep this cream not for night use (I have my Kinerase Ultimate for that), but for use after plucking/exfoliating/depilating my face. (Yes, middle-age means more hair removal for face, dangit!). It works very nicely to moisturize and soothe after any sort of facial attention (whether it's plucking, shaving, exfoliating, or removing a whitehead/pimple).



It does "pill", though--you know, if you rub your face, it will roll up into little flecks and balls. So, this is a cream you apply gently and leave alone. Don't fuss. Hence, yeah, a night cream. :) But if you need some extra-soothing after facial treatments of any sort, this is very useful.



I hope amazon will get this on their Prime/Subscrive and Save program. I'd order it there to save.

This is one of the best sun screens I have ever used. I have been a loyal customer for well over 10 years. It is water resistant and last the entire day, even in the bright So. California sun.

The cream is zinc oxide based so it doesn't sting or smell. The only downside is that it is white, so it will make you look somewhat pale. Too bad the manufacturer doesn't make a tinted version.

I suffer from many skin allergies with creams that contain perfume and/or have any kind of sunscreen.

All creams except for this one will cause symptoms like breaking out, rashes, severe dryness associated

If you don't have a problem with dry skin and you don't like heavy/thick moisturizing cream, then don't get this product. But if you have dry skin, it's great.



I have dry skin, which is especially aggravating in the winter. I've tried a bunch of moisturizers but they never seemed to help very much. My dermatologist recommended Eucerin or Lubriderm, which I used this past winter, and if I use it every day my skin never bothered me. Yes it is pretty thick, and it does leave your face feeling slightly sticky for a while. This stickiness (which I assume is due to a layer on top of the skin that doesn't quite finish absorbing) seems helps protect my skin from the heating and dry air in the winter. And at least some of it must get absorbed into your skin, because before I got Eucerin I also tried putting petroleum jelly on to protect my face from the heat - and it didn't really help either.



In the summer, the thickness of this cream is more unpleasant, but I find that by using much less of it and putting it on while my face is still damp/slightly wet I mitigate the stickiness problem.



In either season though, I only use it as a night cream as during the day I'd want an SPF moisturizer anyway.



I can't really say anything about the anti-wrinkle properties, as I'm in my late 20's and haven't noticed any wrinkles yet. So why am I using this instead of just basic Eucerin body lotion? Superstition, I guess. I don't know much about which chemicals are anti-aging (and I suspect neither does the cosmetic industry either, really), and I'm probably just succumbing to marketing, but these jars last for a long time (two jars got me through 4-5 months of every-day use and another 2-3 months of occasional use - your mileage may vary) and so it's not a very expensive indulgence (especially considering I would have had to use some kind of lotion anyway).

My dermatologist recommended it to me, and I have used this product now for five years. I can't recommend it highly enough! I am pretty vain, so I use this in addition to prescription retinoids from the dermatologist to reduce the signs of aging. This product is ideal for those with sensitive skin - even Aveeno can have scents that cause irritation.



I want to liberally apply a cream at night, and I find that the $45 night creams are so pricey that I use them sparingly. At this price I can use enough for my face and neck and be generous with the application. As other reviewers have commented, it is butter colored and has a thicker consistency than some creams - many other brands are lighter, with a more whipped feel, so if that is important to you, consider that in your purchase.

It controlled the rosacea, but it is a topical antibiotic, can have some serious side effects and is quite expensive. I experienced very itchy skin in winter 2008 until I had to see a specialist (dermatologist). I do not have skin problem in other season (spring till fall). As a self-employed, my health insurance is high deductable and I ended up paying $150 for the visit. I have crazy sensitive skin prone to dermatitis, hives, itchies of all kinds. It's also very dry. I have to moisturize every inch of myself after a shower--from hairline to tips of toes.

This really is rich. A very thick cream. Unless your skin is moist from a bath or shower, prepare to have to do a little muscular rubbing to spread it. However, after your shower or bath, when you've patted dry, but are still moist--this is perfect and smooths on richly but easily. Thick enough that a little goes a long way. Very moisturizing, even for my super dry heels.



I like that it has no scent, not just because it's less irritating that way (as many have allergies to scent/perfume), but it allows your own choice of perfume to shine and not be interefered with by a lotion's scent.



A winner. Recommended for dry skin sufferers, especially the uber-sensitive.
