I'm a young guy with nice skin (never had any problems with my skin) and I'll say, this thing does wonders IF I had dry skin! Sadly, I don't! -- wait that's a good thing.



I have tried other Aveeno products and frankly, while it's good -- it's not something I would put on everyday (I recommend the Daily Moisturizing Lotion [Green] for that!). It makes your skin VERY hydrated, thus the result is a heavy feeling, similar to a greasy barrier feeling (although it's NOT grease or oil). It feels more like an intense hydrating night cream for you body. When I touch my skin, you can tell for a fact that I have lotion on... You know, that kind of not-so-smooth feeling? Yeah, I'm putting this on at night before I go to sleep if I would like to wake up with hydrated, fresh skin! Not during the day where I can sweat and I feel very icky.



Positives:

- GREAT hydration! So great that I would prefer NOT to use it everyday/mornings... I suggest applying at night!

- Great for those with allergies -- non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), fragrance-free (there is NO menthol in here, contrary to the other review), etc.



Negatives:

- A barrier of "greasy-ness" feeling although it's NOT grease or oil! It's most likely from the intense hydration. Feels almost like a night cream!

I was searching a moisturing cream that will work for his eczema condition, I want to find something to replace the doctor precribled "strong" skin condi-cream, because I think it is not very good to apply strong cream all the time.



After searching for a suitable moisturizer for almost 1.5 years, trying more than 10 different brands and moisturizer, we finally found that Aveeno Moisturizer with Oatmeal Essence works for my husband. Not only that it is moisturizing enough that will help his dry skin, it also stop his dry-itch, improving the skin condition day by day. He proof that Aveeno works for him after half a bottle and his Eczema scars is also going away after using 2 bottles.

This lotion is one of the few I've been able to find that keeps my mild eczema under control. It contains Allantoin (sp?)--something that seems to keep my eczema at bay (as does Jergens Ultra Healing, but doesn't have the perfumey smells of Jergens...which gave me allergies...) so I was super happy to find this product. I've been able to move from using steroid creams every few days to weekly or less by using this lotion... so for me, it's really a God-send! The 'cooling effect' feels great on the skin too!

I only get dry skin in the winter and this stuff is fantastic it dries dry and a little goes a long way for me.

I like that there is no fragrance, it is not super thick and wipes on easily... the only problem is the bottle runs out so fast because my wife who has VERY SENSITIVE skin uses it all the time.

I am willing to pimp this stuff out because I feel it is a great at moisturizing my dry skin without feeling oily or sticky afterwards...

It does work best right after toweling off.

I like this product. It is creamy and it leaves my skin feeling softer and better hydrated. As other reviewers have mentioned, you don't even need to use that much lotion anymore! It really does what it says, it not only cleanses, it also moisturizes your skin.



My only complaint is that, even though it is soap free, it is so creamy that it leaves your bathtub very slippery and full of residue. I have to clean the tub every other day and be extra careful not to slip.



Update: Apparently, it also clogs the tub's drain.

I picked up this body wash by mistake at Costco once, meaning to buy the regular Aveeno lotion. But now that I've been using it in the shower, I find that I no longer need to use the lotion. So, instead of using some other cheap brand of body wash and following up with lotion on my hands, feet, knees and elbows, now I just use this body wash and that's it. Saves time and money. You don't need alot and a tube will last about 2 months. I love the texture of Active C, it's smell is quite neutral, and leaves my skin feeling very good. I either use it alone, or under a moisturizer, and after I always use sun protection. I finished one tube in about three months, and I am using my second already. I was disappointed they don't sell this brand in drugstores, like they do in France, or Mexico, so I am very happy I found it through amazon.com!

This stuff is really great, it's a LITTLE heavy but not too bad, especially considering how well it stays on (I use it every day -- once it soaks into my skin, the oily look goes away completely) and it is WAY better than the skinceuticals daily defense 30, which leaves my skin weirdly white-looking and is somehow heavier. I've been using this stuff for three years. Also, it doesn't cause breakouts, which I"m a bit prone to lately.

Now that the weather is warming up, I wanted a really good UVA/UVB sunblock to prevent age spots, wrinkles, and sun damage. This is a thick, full coverage product that completely covers your skin. I've been putting it on my face, neck and hands every day for several weeks and am satisfied that it's protecting my skin from the sun without clogging pores or causing other skin issues. It does have a slight white tint, so I mix in a little bit of foundation when I put it on my face and that works very well.

I have tried every sunblock on the market. As a tennis player in So FL I use a lot of sunblock, especially in the summer. This one is the best for protection and for sensitive skin. It is too expensive and I get every last bit out of the tube by cutting it in half when it won't come out any other way.



I'm glad to see it's available outside of the dermatologist office where they charge $10 more than amazon.

Really like La Roche Posay products; however, this product is apparently an exception. Although advertised for sensitive eyes, product caused extreme puffiness and irritation around the eye area. Another added 'feature' was the large yellow rings that would form around my eyes mid-way through the day. Could have been an allergic reaction or bad product; nonetheless, please be aware that this product may not be as sensitive for the eye area as advertised. My top derm doc recommends this, as do many other skin experts. (I've used this for years, but I also use Retin-A. I'm a 49-yr-old Asian MD who still gets carded.) This Vit C product may sting your eyeballs (probably reflecting that it's unsafe for your cornea), so consider the separate eye formulation made especially for the eye area. Also, the NORMAL-TO-COMBINATION formulation is quite emollient; the formulation for DRY skin seems suited for VERY dry skin!
