I didn't read the other reviews yet. I use this every morning. My skin is normal to dry and it can be sensitive. I prefer to avoid soap on my face; it seems to dry. This Desert Essence does the job of cleaning well and has never left my skin feeling dry. Obviously I would not use it to remove make up. I only use mascara and I wash that off with a wash cloth easily since I do not use waterproof mascara. The Desert Essence smells very strong but I find it to be very gentle on my skin. I usually cleanse my neck front and back and love that it seems to get deep into pores. I usually steam my face with a hot towel before I use it as well. Anyway, it works for me. I imagine as tea tree oil is supposed to be a natural disinfectant that it kills any germs or bacteria as well. Then I moisturize well. No problems. I also like it because it is economical. Let's face it the expensive cleansers only stay on a few seconds. I'd rather spend on a good moisturizer. Hope this is helpful to any one concerned.

I have been using this product for a few months. It is a good natural alternative to all of those cleansing towelettes that are on the market. The ingredients are much better for your skin than the other cleansers out there. I haven't noticed any difference in my breakouts but these pads remove face makeup. The reason I only gave two stars is because of the problems that I have had with the company. I highly suggest that you buy these in a store versus buying them with [...]. I never received my order and sent many unanswered emails to ask what happened. After my fourth email within 2 months I finally received a reply saying they would look into the problem. It has been 2 weeks since that reply and I still have not heard back. If only this company had better customer service.

I really do recommend this product because it did wonders for me! I had fairly bad acne before I used this product but now my skin is super soft and smooth when i wake up after using this the night before. Not only that but the smell really is wakening though it's something you get used to.



What I do:

In the morning I use a cleanser to open up my pores and then wash it off with warm water. I keep the warm water on my face as I use the pad so the pad isn't as abrasive. I rinse it off (as directed) and tada, my skin is softer. Occasionally it dries my skin so I use green tea as a moisturizer.



[I heat water, put it in a cup, put a green tea bag and leave it for 3 minutes, take it out and rub the warm tea bag on my face.]



At night I do the same thing but I never use green tea. I just leave it alone even if it's a bit dry and in the morning my skin is so silky smooth.



This product isn't for everyone but as a 16 year old with bad acne, that's a lot to say for such an inexpensive product such as this.

I'm a young guy with nice skin (never had any problems with my skin) and I'll say, this thing does wonders IF I had dry skin! Sadly, I don't! -- wait that's a good thing.



I have tried other Aveeno products and frankly, while it's good -- it's not something I would put on everyday (I recommend the Daily Moisturizing Lotion [Green] for that!). It makes your skin VERY hydrated, thus the result is a heavy feeling, similar to a greasy barrier feeling (although it's NOT grease or oil). It feels more like an intense hydrating night cream for you body. When I touch my skin, you can tell for a fact that I have lotion on... You know, that kind of not-so-smooth feeling? Yeah, I'm putting this on at night before I go to sleep if I would like to wake up with hydrated, fresh skin! Not during the day where I can sweat and I feel very icky.



Positives:

- GREAT hydration! So great that I would prefer NOT to use it everyday/mornings... I suggest applying at night!

- Great for those with allergies -- non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), fragrance-free (there is NO menthol in here, contrary to the other review), etc.



Negatives:

- A barrier of "greasy-ness" feeling although it's NOT grease or oil! It's most likely from the intense hydration. Feels almost like a night cream!

This lotion is one of the few I've been able to find that keeps my mild eczema under control. It contains Allantoin (sp?)--something that seems to keep my eczema at bay (as does Jergens Ultra Healing, but doesn't have the perfumey smells of Jergens...which gave me allergies...) so I was super happy to find this product. I only get dry skin in the winter and this stuff is fantastic it dries dry and a little goes a long way for me.

I like that there is no fragrance, it is not super thick and wipes on easily... the only problem is the bottle runs out so fast because my wife who has VERY SENSITIVE skin uses it all the time.

I am willing to pimp this stuff out because I feel it is a great at moisturizing my dry skin without feeling oily or sticky afterwards...

It does work best right after toweling off.

Beginning 10 or 15 years ago, I started having problems with my skin - a kind of itchy irritation on my shins, eyelids and elsewhere. My doctor gave me various kinds of cortisone creams which were effective, but the problem would always return when I stopped applying them. When I researched a bit, I discovered that the most frequent cause of this type of trouble is soap and shampoo! I tried some "extra mild" type soaps and got enough improvement to be encouraged but not as much as I had hoped for. Until finally, I stumbled on to Dr. Bronner's.



Initially, I tried the Almond scented variety. The improvement was quick and complete. I was thrilled, but I didn't really like the scent. That's when I tried the Unscented Baby-mild. Works just as well and no scent except for a barely noticeable "green" aroma. It's almost a year now, and I've not had any recurrence of the skin irritation that used to bother me.



I use it as both soap and shampoo. I am a man and keep my hair reasonably short, but not like I just got out of the Army. After shampooing, my hair is not oily but not dried out. Combs easily without knots. Looks pretty good, I think.



Since it contains no scent and no deodorant, if you sweat you'll smell. Pardon the bluntness but you should know the trade-off you're making.



It makes a nice lather, but it's not very foamy or bubbly. I suspect that some of the chemical additives contained in regular soaps provide this function. It is "thin" rather than creamy. Again, that's probably what other soaps' additives do.



A 32-ounce bottle lasts me, with daily showering, shampooing and generally 1 face-washing, just about 6 weeks. That makes the cost higher than non-organic, non-castile soap and shampoo, but only slightly so. I am happy to pay the difference to get the relief that this product has given me.



If you're going to try it, search Amazon thoroughly. There's more than one listing for this and different listings have different prices, vendors and shipping costs and (occasionally) go on sale at different times, so do a bit of checking before you pull the trigger.

I recently used this product to get sap off my car with no chemical residue left to remove. This product dissolves dirt. I put the product directly onto the sap and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then I lightly sprayed the areas with water. I let it sit for about another 15 minutes or so. I used a terry cloth to rub off the sap. There were a couple of times where my fingernail came in handy, but if I had let it sit a little longer, I think it would have come off with less elbow grease. There was no telltale sign of any sap or the product left on my car. Just a nice clean car with the paint still intact. Great PRODUCT!!

I have thick, naturally wavy/curly hair. Once it gets humid, it's a mass of frizz. I've tried several

I found the La Petite Wax Warmer performed exactly as described. As some said, the only problem was breaking the bar of Zip wax I bought to use with the warmer.



I've tried the room temperature products and was totally dissatisfied with the results. The wax in the warmer stayed at the right consistency, unlike the tubes of Zip wax which tended to cool and stiffen. It was easy to use. Everything stayed neat. It was also easy to clean up and store.



I'm very pleased that I made the purchase. And yeh - it still hurts. Nothing seems to change that. But at least it gets the job done.

It's a little odd that the mitts arrive without a box -- but that's how they're pictured and described. Sensible consumers are careful when using any electrical product. So, how do they work? GREAT. There's nothing like warmth on chronically aching hands and wrists. It feels soooo good. The product seems well-made (sturdy seams, stout wiring), and large enough for big hands. A "medium" setting is plenty, once they warm up. Personally I'd go for a thin cotton liner rather than the poly bag. The price is a tad high but not outrageous.
