I'm a young guy with nice skin (never had any problems with my skin) and I'll say, this thing does wonders IF I had dry skin! Sadly, I don't! -- wait that's a good thing.



I have tried other Aveeno products and frankly, while it's good -- it's not something I would put on everyday (I recommend the Daily Moisturizing Lotion [Green] for that!). It makes your skin VERY hydrated, thus the result is a heavy feeling, similar to a greasy barrier feeling (although it's NOT grease or oil). It feels more like an intense hydrating night cream for you body. When I touch my skin, you can tell for a fact that I have lotion on... You know, that kind of not-so-smooth feeling? Yeah, I'm putting this on at night before I go to sleep if I would like to wake up with hydrated, fresh skin! Not during the day where I can sweat and I feel very icky.



Positives:

- GREAT hydration! So great that I would prefer NOT to use it everyday/mornings... I suggest applying at night!

- Great for those with allergies -- non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), fragrance-free (there is NO menthol in here, contrary to the other review), etc.



Negatives:

- A barrier of "greasy-ness" feeling although it's NOT grease or oil! It's most likely from the intense hydration. Feels almost like a night cream!

I was searching a moisturing cream that will work for his eczema condition, I want to find something to replace the doctor precribled "strong" skin condi-cream, because I think it is not very good to apply strong cream all the time.



After searching for a suitable moisturizer for almost 1.5 years, trying more than 10 different brands and moisturizer, we finally found that Aveeno Moisturizer with Oatmeal Essence works for my husband. Not only that it is moisturizing enough that will help his dry skin, it also stop his dry-itch, improving the skin condition day by day. He proof that Aveeno works for him after half a bottle and his Eczema scars is also going away after using 2 bottles.



Honestly, this product is way too geasy for me, but it works for my husband. Thanks to "double A"... Amazon and Aveeno!

This lotion is one of the few I've been able to find that keeps my mild eczema under control. It contains Allantoin (sp?)--something that seems to keep my eczema at bay (as does Jergens Ultra Healing, but doesn't have the perfumey smells of Jergens...which gave me allergies...) so I was super happy to find this product. I've been able to move from using steroid creams every few days to weekly or less by using this lotion... so for me, it's really a God-send! The 'cooling effect' feels great on the skin too!

I only get dry skin in the winter and this stuff is fantastic it dries dry and a little goes a long way for me.

I like that there is no fragrance, it is not super thick and wipes on easily... the only problem is the bottle runs out so fast because my wife who has VERY SENSITIVE skin uses it all the time.

I am willing to pimp this stuff out because I feel it is a great at moisturizing my dry skin without feeling oily or sticky afterwards...

It does work best right after toweling off.

I have used this product for several months and found that it works as well as or better than any other product I have tried. It is less expensive than any other products I've used for rosacea. It has the consistency of aloe vera gel, so a little goes a long way and it can be kind of difficult to rinse off. It has never dried out or irritated my skin. Overall, I'm well pleased with this product.

I have eczema and I tried this product because the cream is excellent for my skin when I break out in hives. Because the brand is known for making products for those with particularly sensitive skin I decided to try this product when I found out my favorite face scrub was discontinued by AVON. I bought this product for its cleansing properties and not for redness relief (I have dark skin). The product did not agree with my face at all. It burned my cheeks and left them rough and dry. If you are a person who is sensitive to lotions or cleansers with harsh chemicals or perfumes like me avoid this product.

This product made my skin really dry. After I use it I can see dry patches on my cheeks and forehead and it appears that my skin is peeling. It also did not reduce redness. This product may work for some, but was not helpful to my sensitive skin. On a positive note, it doesn't sting or irritate my skin.

I read about this product from a Squidoo lens written by an actual user, so I gave it a try. I've been using this creme plus a companion cleanser for redness reduction and they appear to be working. It's been less than 1 week and I'm seeing results - this after months of trying all sorts of other remedies. I have been dealing with red, irritated skin on my neck for approximately 2 years. The problem had gotten so bad that I had to cut tags out of clothes, stop wearing collars that touched my neck, no necklaces, etc. Different doctors gave different diagnoses - rosacea, dermatitis, etc. Prescription meds did not help. Then I tried this product along with the redness relief soothing cleanser. What an amazing difference! The cleanser is a gel that began to soothe my skin the moment I applied it. I followed up with this night cream - it is a lotion, but clearly has a gel base. It felt wonderful just to smooth it on! Within 1 day, my bumpy, red skin felt completly healed - the bumps were gone, and my skin no longer felt irritated! In fact, my skin felt young again! When I say this product is life-changing I mean it - the nagging stress of having constantly irritated, itchy skin is gone. I am able to wear jewelry again, etc. I do not expect this product to help everyone - but if your problem is the same as mine, you might find it very beneficial. One other note - I orignially tried the CereVe product line as recommended by a dermatologist. While CeraVE is excellent, it did not help me. So if other products are not working for you, perhaps this one will.

I have been diagnosed with mild to moderate facial eczema. While this product is geared towards Rosacea patients, I decided to try it because I have a substantial redness, dryness and flaking on my face. I usually steer clear of products of this type, with all those weird chemicals as ingredients, but the natural beauty and health products have done nothing for my face so I decided to give this a shot.



After only one weeks use, applied after cleansing and before bed, I wake up with way less facial redness. Mind you, this is after only 1 week. Eucerin asks you give this product 1 month of use before you see results. Needless to say I'm happy, in fact I will be trying out the rest of the Eucerin Redness Relief line of products to see if I can achieve a sense of "normalcy" to my skin.



My only complaint, oddly enough, it does burn my skin when I apply it, not a lot, but enough that makes it quite uncomfortable. I would suggest giving your skin a rest, say a few minutes, after you cleanse, allowing your pores to close, before you apply.



All in all, it's definitely worth giving a shot if you're experiencing facial redness. You might be surprised.

I have chronic dermatitis/eczema issues, notably on my cheeks and bridge of nose. I keep this cream not for night use (I have my Kinerase Ultimate for that), but for use after plucking/exfoliating/depilating my face. (Yes, middle-age means more hair removal for face, dangit!). It works very nicely to moisturize and soothe after any sort of facial attention (whether it's plucking, shaving, exfoliating, or removing a whitehead/pimple).



It does "pill", though--you know, if you rub your face, it will roll up into little flecks and balls. So, this is a cream you apply gently and leave alone. Don't fuss. Hence, yeah, a night cream. :) But if you need some extra-soothing after facial treatments of any sort, this is very useful.



I hope amazon will get this on their Prime/Subscrive and Save program. I'd order it there to save.
