After our 1 year old son developed a severe diaper rash we tried numerous products to aid in the healing process along with a sprinkling of corn starch to aid in dryness. Nothing worked. Prescription creams relieved the pain and redness a bit but never cured the rash. We battle this problem for 2 weeks until I heard about Dr. Smith's Diaper Ointment. After reading reviews of this product on "Amazon.com" We decided to give it a try. Best diaper ointment on the market. BAR NONE. That stubborn, painful, cherry red rash was GONE in "TWO" days. My pediatrician recommended Burt's Bees to help with my baby's diaper rash. We tried a lot of other creams, but nothing helped. Since the diaper rash was caused by a yeast infection, we mixed Burt's Bees with Clotrimazol. This helped right away. The Burt's Bees ointment is thick and forms a protective layer of ointment on my baby's butt; all the other creams get absorbed into the diaper. We continue using this product and are very happy with it. My baby has not developed a new rash so far!

Really nice ointment. My baby hasn't ever really gotten diaper rash, but when his bum gets a little red and tender looking, I put this on, and it seems to help. Smells nice without being overpowering. Good consistency. I would get just this 3 oz. ointment and forego the gift set. It is the most practical and useful item.

We love this product! We tried several rash ointments over a 3 week period and seen our sons pediatrician 3 times, and were still unable to get rid of our sons blistered, bleeding diaper rash. I love this product. I started using it after a friend told me about this ointment. I have tried others, and this is absolutely the best in terms of treating the rash quickly and preventing any diaper rash. I can't say enough about this product. I used this cream for my daughter who has extremely sensitive skin, and it cleared up every rash she's ever had. She is older now and still occasionally gets irritation, and it clears it right up. It works great at clearing up and preventing rashes on my baby boy, and my husband even uses it to heal chafing that he sometimes experiences.

I have been using Dr. Smith's for several years now. When my first son was 10 months old, he was hospitalized with Rotavirus (a nasty diarrhea virus). At one point in the middle of the night, he was screaming uncontrollably from a red bottom and nothing would soothe him. He wouldn't nurse or let me rock him, nothing worked. I thought they would have to sedate him!! The nurse finally brought in a tub of Dr. Smith's and it immediately eased his discomfort. He stopped crying, nursed and went to sleep. I have been a fan ever since.



I'm actually a neonatal nurse (babies) and have seen lots of red buts and used many products in my day. Nothing compares to Dr. Smith's Diaper Ointment.
